Today on our operating tables lands the DR350 carburetor. When the spark works fine, but the bike won’t run anyway, before halving the engine in despair, it’s good to first check if there is a proper fuel flow. So we will check if the carburetor is clean and assembled correctly. Let’s go! :)

We hope that with the post series about DR electrical system testing you grew fond of the resistance measurements, because today we will preform more than 70 of them! We will check the CDI unit.

Last time we’ve checked the kill and ignition switches, but before we will make hundreds of measurements on the CDI unit, we have one more switch to test – the netural switch.

Today lets have a chat about the switches – the kill switch and the ignition switch, exactly. (Or put another way – how to startup a motorcycle in a MacGyver style.)

As we’ve already tested the ignition and the power source coils, today we’re moving on to the pick up coils test as this is also a common cause of no spark issue.

On our way to revive the spark in the disobedient DR, this time we dig into the details of the powers source coil.
